Prior to founding Five Points Capital in 1997, David was an investment banker in the Atlanta office of Stephens, Inc., where he provided merger and acquisition advisory services to both public and private companies. At Stephens, Inc., David was also involved in direct equity investments of the firm’s capital for growth and buyouts. Before joining Stephens, Inc., David was with Ernst & Young’s Corporate Finance group where he provided merger and acquisition advisory services to companies in a variety of industries. He currently serves on the boards of Thompson Industrial Services, JML Optical Industries, LLC, Senior Services of Winston-Salem Foundation, and is on the Investment Committee of Centenary United Methodist Church.
David received an MBA from UNC’s Kenan-Flagler School of Business with concentrations in finance and accounting, and a BA in History from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
